A group of Year 8's enjoyed a beautiful day up Mt Hutt last Monday. The weather was perfect and they all took to the slopes with a positive attitude and a growth mindset. Everyone gave it a really good go, taking part in a lesson and then hitting the slopes again in the afternoon to practice their new skills.
A huge thank you to all the parents and staff who helped out on the day, we couldn't have done it without you :)

The mighty Tōtara tree stands tall and proud. It protects those smaller than itself. In ancient times it was used to build waka that carried hundreds of warriors and build whare to protect people from the earths elements. As the team gifted with the name tōtara, we take on much of it’s meaning. We protect those who are younger than us and we support others by encouraging them, and being active role models in our kura. We are the leaders of KNS.

Buddy Class Time
Tiwai West enjoyed reconnecting with our buddy class on Friday and playing games with them that we made based around Te Haurere (The Weather). We then heard about the learning they have been doing and played some games with them. Thanks for a great morning Room 10,11 and 12!
