Canterbury Chess Tournament

This week 6 students from KNS represented our school at The Canterbury Chess Tournament at 'Te Hapua' in Halswell.
Not only did they have fun playing 5 rounds of chess, they learned a lot about competitive rules, new strategies and the challenge of playing under time pressure.
They showed perseverance, determination, skill and fair play.
Well done team!

If you would like to learn to play chess or play with other people, Chess Club is on every Thursday lunch time in Room 19.

You can see the dirt is still a barrier but hopefully the warmer weather will encourage the grass to grow faster.

Our new building name is TIWAI
